'People transformed from a past-centred to a Christ-centred lifestyle'

Life in the Kingdom (LinK) is a life-changing series of seminars, group discussions and ministry times which help participants to break free from the grip of the past and move into the freedom which God has for them, in an atmosphere of love, acceptance and confidentiality.

LinK is experiential and brings closure to past issues, enabling people to go forward in life with new meaning and fresh vision to seek and to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Who should attend ?
The Life in the Kingdom course is designed for people who seek to deepen their relationship with God and lead lives of fulfilment in Him – that means everyone who desires to love God and know more about living in His Kingdom and making a positive contribution to the church.

What can I expect from the course?
The course is Christ-centred and emphasis is placed on His teaching and its application in our lives. A safe place is created through the love and concern for confidentiality of the Life in the Kingdom team.

What is the central theme of the course?
The central theme is transformation from old ways of thinking to Christ- centred ways of thinking. So many Christians are held back by things of the past which need to be dealt with. So the course has a strong emphasis on personal healing, spiritual renewal and the importance of bringing closure to negative past experiences.

How is it structured?
The course takes place over a weekend (from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon); then, after a break of a week, a day of ministry and prayer takes place on the following Saturday which we call Freedom day.

Teaching and Group times.
The teachings are given by presenters and include testimonies and stories from the team. These times are limited to a maximum of 30 minutes each. You will be placed into prayerfully selected groups of approximately 5 people of the same gender, led by a trained facilitator. After each session you will discuss the teaching and pray for one another in your groups. For French and Xhosa speakers, translations may be available if advance notice is given.

Practical details.
Meals and refreshments are provided for the duration of the course, as are the Living Christianity and Freedom Day booklets. The venue for the course will be Jubilee Centre.
