Everyone needs a community to be part of! We believe that Lifegroups form an ideal way in which

we can enjoy community, build friendships and have fun. Lifegroups are small groups of between
8
and 12 people that meet midweek in
people's homes, in
university residences or at the
Jubilee
Centre. The purpose of Lifegroup is twofold: to fulfill the two Great Commandments,
"Love the Lord
your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" and "Love your neighbour
as yourself" (Matt 22:36‐40), and to fulfill the Great Commission,
"Go and make disciples of all
nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matt 28:18‐20).
Lifegroups are a way of truly being a New Testament church, of living out what we value so that the
vision God has given us becomes a reality. The Lifegroup vision serves Jubilee's overall
vision. Lifegroups are a place where community can be built, seekers can ask
questions and spiritual gifts can be developed and deployed; where genuine, deep relationships can
develop even in a big church like Jubilee.
Lifegroup creates a context for care and fellowship,
application of the Word of God and equipping people to serve those around them. It is a place
where
everyone can get involved, grow and develop.
Lifegroups exist not simply for themselves but for those around us: they are our primary means of
reaching out with the gospel of Jesus Christ and effectively
adding people to the church. We expect
Lifegroups to grow and multiply, so Lifegroups are also a place where people can
grow in leadership
skills and new leaders can be raised up to take the baton and run on with the vision.
