What the ministry does and what it is there for:

Beauty for Ashes, a registered NPO, is a ministry to women building new lives after incarceration, directly linked to Jubilee Community Church's outreach programme into Pollsmoor prison.

Headed by Stephanie van Wyk, a team of dedicated women have formed excellent relationships with authorities and offenders in Pollsmoor Prison. Beauty for Ashes has also established a half way house, and seeks to give women a ‘window of opportunity’, impart life skills, bring restoration, counsel, encourage participation in the life of Jubilee, and seek to restore family relationships.  

Would you like to become involved?

• Directly in the prison as a trained counselor.
• Visit the Sunday church service we hold once a month in the prison, and help with this ministry.
• You can visit and make friends with ex-prisoners at the half way house.
• Pray for us.
• Contribute financially.
